Maha Cabinet Minister Lodha vows to preserve the essence of South Mumbai from Malvani transformation #politics

Maharashtra Cabinet Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha took a stand to ensure justice for Hindu youth in Parel’s Postgalli area who were attacked by Islamists. Lodha visited the Bhoiwada Police Station and criticized the police for not taking action against the culprits and instead harassing the victims. He specifically questioned the authorities, stating, “Do you want South Mumbai to turn into Malvani?”

The incident took place on 31st March when Islamists retaliated against Hindu youths following a scuffle during Shiv Jayanti celebrations on 28th March. Several Hindu youths were injured, and when they approached the police, their complaints were initially ignored. It was only after Mangal Prabhat Lodha intervened that the police registered a complaint and promised a thorough investigation.

Lodha expressed concern over the recurring incidents of harassment against Hindus in the area, with reports suggesting a series of attacks over the past eight months. He raised the issue of a potential Hindu exodus and compared the situation to similar incidents in Kashmir and Kairana. Lodha highlighted the decreasing number of Hindu voters in the Malad-Malvani region, emphasizing the need to address the issue before it escalates further.

The BJP leader’s proactive stance has brought attention to the plight of the Hindu community in Parel and sparked a debate on the need for effective measures to ensure their safety and security.
