Bharat expresses strong disapproval of US comments on Arvind Kejriwal #politics

India has once again criticized the US State Department for its remarks on the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, calling them “unacceptable” and “unwarranted”. In response to the comments made by the State Department, the Ministry of External Affairs summoned an American diplomat and lodged a strong protest.

According to the report, MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal stated that any external imputation on the electoral and legal process in India is completely unacceptable. Jaiswal emphasized that legal processes in India are driven by the rule of law and that the country is proud of its independent and robust democratic institutions.

The meeting with the US Acting Deputy Chief of Mission in Delhi, Gloria Berbena, lasted for 45 minutes, during which India strongly objected to the US stance on the arrest of the Aam Aadmi Party convenor. This comes after India also summoned a senior diplomat from the German Embassy and protested against their comments on Kejriwal, labeling it as “blatant interference” in internal matters.

India emphasized the importance of mutual respect and understanding in international relations and stressed the need for states to be respectful of each other’s sovereignty and internal affairs. The country reaffirmed its commitment to protecting its democratic institutions from undue external influences.
