Smriti Irani claims possible connections between Rahul Gandhi and PFI in Amethi #politics

Union Minister Smriti Irani has made sensational allegations against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of having links with the banned organization Popular Front of India (PFI). Speaking to reporters in Amethi, Irani claimed that Gandhi had sought the support of the PFI to contest the Lok Sabha elections from Wayanad in Kerala.

“We have received information that Rahul Gandhi took the support of terrorist organisation PFI to contest the elections from Wayanad. When you read the charge sheet filed in the context of the PFI, you will get to know that it had planned to kill Hindus in every district,” said Smriti Irani.

Irani also criticized Gandhi for neglecting Amethi, stating that it was Prime Minister Narendra Modi who had developed the city. She questioned Gandhi’s loyalty to Amethi, highlighting the free ration provided by the government to 19 lakh citizens in the constituency.

Furthermore, Smriti Irani confidently asserted that Rahul Gandhi would lose again if he contested from Amethi in the upcoming elections. Despite the BJP confirming Irani as its candidate for the Amethi seat, the Congress is yet to announce its nominee.

In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Smriti Irani had defeated Rahul Gandhi in Amethi, and she seems determined to consolidate her stronghold in the constituency. The allegations made by Irani have stirred up a political storm, with the Congress yet to respond to the accusations.
