Delhi High Court Refuses Urgent Hearing on Arvind Kejriwal’s Arrest and ED Custody; Case to be Listed on Wednesday #politics

In a setback for Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, the Delhi High Court has denied an urgent listing of his plea challenging his arrest and custody in the Delhi Excise policy case. Kejriwal moved the court on Saturday to challenge his arrest and the remand order granted by the trial court on March 22, but the High Court refused to hear the plea immediately.

According to a report by Opindia, the matter will now be listed on Wednesday when the court reopens. The Registrar General of the Delhi High Court confirmed this decision, leaving Kejriwal without immediate relief.

Kejriwal was arrested on March 21 by the Directorate of Enforcement (ED) in connection with the excise policy case that has since been scrapped. The Chief Minister’s legal battle continues as he awaits his day in court.
