Kollam BJP candidate G Krishnakumar accused the Students Federation of India (SFI) of practicing fascism in Kerala after he and his followers faced physical assault during campaigning at Government ITI Chandanathope. The incident occurred when Krishnakumar visited the college to request votes and was stopped by SFI workers, leading to a clash with ABVP activists who came to his defense. Krishnakumar criticized the SFI’s actions, stating, “What is happening here is real fascism.” He emphasized the need for peaceful politics and vowed not to back down despite the opposition’s tactics.

He expressed his commitment to implementing development projects in Kollam and called out the ruling communist regime for allowing violence and anarchy on campuses, with CPM leaders allegedly protecting the perpetrators.
