Kiran Pawaskar, the Shiv Sena secretary and spokesperson, stated that Thackeray’s compliance with Gandhi’s directive delayed the probe into the horrific incident. The Palghar Sadhu Lynching case took place on April 16, 2020, when two Sadhus associated with the Juna Akhara and their driver were brutally lynched by a mob of over 100 people. The incident, captured in videos, showed the gruesome lynching in the presence of passive police officers.
