In a shocking turn of events, 16 AAP leaders, including big names like Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, Satyendra Jain, and Sanjay Singh, have been arrested in various corruption, criminal, and other cases. According to a report by Opindia, the Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal, was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate in connection to the Delhi Excise Policy Scam. Kejriwal remained in custody until 1st April and was sent to judicial custody until 15th April, just a day before the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 commence.

Manish Sisodia, the former deputy Chief Minister of Delhi and a founding member of AAP, was also arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation in connection to the same scam in February 2023. Sisodia has been in jail since then and has been denied bail by the courts.

This alarming development has put a spotlight on the integrity and credibility of AAP leaders, who were once seen as the torchbearers of clean politics. The list of AAP leaders facing legal troubles continues to grow, raising serious questions about the party’s image and its leadership.
