BJP collaborates with TDP and Jana Sena in Andhra Pradesh, details of seat sharing soon to be revealed #politics

On Saturday, TDP Chief N Chandrababu Naidu confirmed that the party has formed an alliance with the Bhartiya Janata Party for the upcoming Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh. He described the alliance as a “win-win” situation for the country and the state, praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.

Additionally, Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena is also an alliance partner of both parties for the upcoming polls and has joined the NDA camp. BJP President Jagat Prakash Nadda welcomed the alliance, stating that the leaders are committed to the progress of the country and the upliftment of the state and people of Andhra Pradesh.

The Telugu Desam Party has returned to the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) fold six years after exiting it. TDP MP Kanakamedala Ravindra Kumar confirmed the TDP’s decision to join the NDA alliance.

Regarding the seat-sharing formula, TDP President Naidu asserted that the tripartite alliance will result in a “clean sweep.” While the exact details are yet to be announced, reports suggest that BJP could get 6 seats, JanaSena 2 seats, and the remaining 17 seats will go to the TDP in the Lok Sabha elections. Around 30 Assembly seats will be divided between Jana Sena and BJP. The modalities of seat-sharing are expected to be deliberated within a day or two.

The confirmation of the alliance came after TDP President Naidu held talks with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP President J P Nadda. The alliance negotiations had been ongoing for several days, and it was finalized after the second round of talks on Saturday.

This alliance marks a significant development in Andhra Pradesh politics as the Lok Sabha and state assembly polls will be held simultaneously. The alliance, which includes former allies TDP and BJP, marks a realignment of political forces in the state.
