Dr. Satish Modh

Dr Satish Modh holds a Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Management from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, University of Mumbai. He is a postgraduate in Electronics Engineering and also in Financial Management. He is a senior executive in Air India and has over 20 years of cumulative experience in Aviation Management and Training. He has attended several technical training courses at Boeing, Airbus, Rockwell Collins and Sextant. He has been a visiting and guest faculty in the field of management and ethics at numerous management institutes. He has trained more than 5000 personnel in cultural change, customer care and ethics.

 

Dr. Modh is a keen researcher and has wide-ranging interests in the fields of Aviation, Strategic Management, Disaster Preparedness and Hindu Philosophy, which are reflected in his published work. He defines management as "a series of ethical actions done by people, using technology and resources, to achieve a state of joy and happiness in the minds of both, producers and consumers." He has authored a book, based on his training experiences, titled "The Care Revolution: A New Agenda for Resurgent India" highlighting the need for bringing in a caring attitude in business and government. Dr. Modh has also written a couple of books on disaster management titled "A Citizenís Guide to Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Care" and "Disaster Management: A Trainers Handbook " based on his study of RSS volunteersí work during disasters.

 

Dr. Modh has edited and published books titled "Vishwa Mangal Hetawe" (Role of Hinduism for the welfare of the world) and "Sanskrti Sangam Vol. I and Vol. II", a compilation of 100 papers written by elders of more than 75 ancient traditions and cultures of pre-Christian era from all over the world. He has published research papers on strategic management in prestigious Indian Journals like Vikalpa of IIM Ahmedabad, ASCI Journal of Management, Hyderabad and Udyog Pragati of NITIE, Mumbai.
